I LOVE????? I Ya Wali (invoking The Power) I Ya Jabbar (invoking The Great Force) I Ya Salam (invoking Ultimate Prosperity) I Birth is holy I Ar Rafi (invoking The Ultimate Empowerer) I ... The answer I

LOVE?????

Java took me
in her arms:
she shook me tight
& squeezed her farms
& city lights
into my eyes
& round the thighs
of loud delight
we shouted after
nights of laughter
no day can deny

squeeze me jawa
louder harder
please me with your eyes
& close those thighs
tighter harder
prouder faster,
Jawa, squeeze me

Ya Wali (invoking The Power)

Our pyramids of power collapsed
into the clowns of cash:
they franchise out our freedoms
in metronomic
dull demonic
technocratic crash

got to get out back
to the Goddess-God
got to save myself

I'm nervous
& I'm nauseous
I'm hollering for help
in mourning for the mental health
that's got to get out back

Ya Jabbar (invoking The Great Force)

LOVE!!!!!

She's not made of muscle
& her mind's not stacked in money
but she sticks through times of sweat
& always treats my tactless hope
with respect I can't repay.

She's a part of that perfection
forcing me to face myself
& kneel down my devotion
in its newborn need to pray.

I pretend not to be pressured
but I bend in fresh air
frantic to get famous:
I gush, going nowhere.

But she keeps her convictions
in the life she lends to love.
I go to her to get some help:
she smiles & stares above.

Ya Salam (invoking Ultimate Prosperity)

Alcohol
leaves us all cold
& killed of good

Alcohol's
our crowded road
out of God

We go down
we go down
road killed
goaded
dead drunk now

We go down
We go down

out of God

that crowded road

alcohol
alcohold

good
killed
cold

Birth is holy

Birth is holy
Life grows slowly

Flesh decays
as sunlight sprays
into the gloom
& calm is torn
for life reborn
as death makes room

The total devotion
that floats from young to old
& back again in motion
a million years old.

Birth is holy.
Birth is holy.

Breath of lust
turns to dust
Life goes slowly
to the holy
to the holy
life goes slowly.

Ar Rafi (invoking The Ultimate Empowerer)

sitting in the sawah
& the blue that rocks above,
I'm focused in on my true friends
who live their lives
in simple lines
straight to Goddess-God

uncompromised by coffee breaks
and segmentation's sex
we lull ourselves with laughter
& shunt into the winds that shove
loneliness to God

skepticism bends to sky
out of feet firm on the ground
hallowed in the hands of love:
lived lived Goddess strong.

... The answer

The answer
to my emptiness
is in her arms
in the endless hills
that semerus of java
jettison to sea.

We
hug
an almost love
still
strong
free.
