Have you set your alarm clock yet? With just minutes to midnight for planet Earth: IT'S TIME TO WAKE UP!
As of 2007, Thylazine, The Thylazine Foundation Information and Resource website and charitable community projects have become a community based effort, which means they will need to be supported both financially and by volunteers in the creative arts community in order to continue to thrive. Planet Earth, the billions of animals that are suffering at the hands of human beings through mass extinction and flesh consumption, and the tens of thousands of children who have no food, no clean water, no medical attention or adequate means of education are the charity. As creative practitioners, we are morally obligated to evolve our consciousness and to save lives on this planet, through the ongoing development of an ethical lifestyle and personal creativity.

KIDS RADIO FOR KIDS PROGRAM (3CR Melbourne) Kids Matter and They Are Changing The Way We Experience The World
Radio for Kids is a new weekly show every Wed at 7.15am, as part of the Wed Breakfast Program on Melbourne's community radio 3CR 855AM dial. The show will make national broadcasts to community radio stations in Australia in 2008. The focus of Radio for Kids is to interview young people from primary age to their mid teens, with a belief that kids are socially aware and can often be asked questions that would be asked to adults. Kids will be interviewed about local community activities and environmental topics.
The aim of Radio for Kids is to also make links with primary and secondary schools, by training kids to produce their own community interest segments and current affairs. George and Peter from Radio for Kids want to hear from any kid who would like to contribute. All kids must be accompanied at all times by an adult family member.
Email Peter Davis about Radio for Kids at: wordsonthewire (at) (g) mail (dot) (com) or ph: 0425 805 352.

HIGHLY EVOLVED LIFEFORM - VEGAN DINOSAUR! A few words from an 110 million-year-old plant eater from the Sahara Desert.
"For over 200 years the Australian environment has been annihilated by human cravings for animal flesh through the sheep, cattle and dairy industries. In shocking displays of unbelievable cruelty, those who operate and support these industries are responsible for mass extinction of Australian wildlife, heart-breaking mass deaths of domesticated animals in bushfire, flood and drought and the greenhouse effect. If you still eat the corpses of the murdered, then you have more than their souls to answer for. Is all this enviro-talk just more piss in a hot wind? If you're not vegan, you're not serious. It's time to E-V-O-L-V-E!"

SUSIE: A JERSEY HIEFER WITH A DIFFERENCE!
Susie is a a beautiful jersey heifer, with huge bulging dewy brown eyes that are said to melt the hardest heart. She is fortunate to be one of the many residents at Edgar's Mission Farm Animal Sanctuary in Victoria, Australia, where animals such as cows, pigs, sheep, hens, turkeys, rabbits, ducks and others can live in friendship and peace without the threat of being killed in a slaughterhouse and turning up dead on someone's dinner plate. Susie is also a cow with a difference. Born with cerebral palsy, Susie will have a more challenges ahead of her than your regular cow! As of October 2007, The Thylazine Foundation is sponsoring Susie for the rest of her natural life. We trust that this will inspire artists and writers to become acquainted with and inspired by these amazing animals! Go here to become a Best Buddy to some of Edgar's Mission's other residents. With our hearts and minds we can each help to create a paradise on Earth for ALL sentient beings. :) Note: Sadly, Susie passed away from this world on Monday 24th, 2008. Many thanks to Pam Ahern & Co. for making Susie's brief life a good one.

SAY NO NUCLEAR WASTE DUMPS IN THE NORTHERN TERRITORY!
"It is no coincidence that many of the communities targeted for "military style intervention" are also areas that are heavily targeted for minerals exploration, particularly uranium, as well as for potential nuclear waste dumps. This includes Western Arnhem Land and Central Australia, where numerous known uranium deposits are being actively investigated by various wanna-be uranium producers." (Dr Gavin Mudd, Monash University - first published on crikey.com.au, 27th June, 2007.)

Meet SKIP. He is staying with Paws 'n' Hooves because he is a lovely big sooky boy who wouldn't kill pigs and so the cowardly pig shooters starved him and beat him up.
Paws 'n' Hooves is a small, dedicated and hard working "not for profit" animal rescue group based in the western suburbs of Sydney in New South Wales, Australia. Made up of a group of extremely dedicated volunteers, Paws 'n' Hooves main objective is to save animals from certain death in various pounds and shelters in Sydney and surrounding areas. They write; 'Animals rescued from "death row" are taken to our foster carers' homes where they are treated like any family pet, until such time as a new and loving, "forever home" can be found for them. While in our care, these animals (mostly dogs and cats) are immunized, wormed, de-sexed, micro-chipped and treated for heartworm and other worms. In many cases, these poor animals have been abused, mistreated and are malnourished. Our valiant band of carers nurse them back to normalcy and good health with a lot of "TLC".'

HELP TO FEED THE RYLSTONE COWS
THE THYLAZINE FOUNDATION - MAKE THE WORLD A SANCTUARY "If there is light in the soul, there will be peace in the world." Chinese Proverb.
The Thylazine Foundation was fortunate enough to acquire responsibility of twelve gorgeous black angus who were the last residents on an ex-beef cattle hobby farm located 4 hours inland from Sydney. Sadly, an old cow and a young steer have since passed on, but these remaining ten have survived the horrors of recent drought that covered a large portion of Australia. The Thylazine Foundation now pledges itself to the ongoing feeding, maintenance and veterinary care of the Rylstone cows; Molly, Emma, Amanda, Monica, Stevie, Maggie, Ruby, Rachel, Faith and Caliban the steer who remain on agistment on a property in Rylstone, New South Wales, Australia. Large animals like this take alot of looking after and without the ongoing efforts of The Thylazine Foundation, these gentle cows had reached their 'farm used by date' and were destined for the slaughterhouse. Now they will spend the rest of their lives in peace. Let's make the world a sanctuary!.
THE HAY APPEAL FOR 2009 - THESE LOVELY COWS NEED OUR HELP! The Thylazine Foundation spent $3100.00 in 2006, $1400.00 in 2007 and $2100.00 in 2008 on "emergency drought" hay in order to keep our lovely cows alive. Please support our continuing efforts.
